Nike’s New Peg Turbo Next Nature Showcases Performance & Sustainability

Nike introduced the Pegasus in 1983 as the shoe for every runner. The first Peg Turbo hit stores in 2018, developed using data from the Zoom Vaporfly 4%. In its 39 year lifespan, the Pegasus series has undergone major technology shifts and refinements. The latest Pegasus running shoe showcases Nike’s commitment to performance, innovation and sustainability. Designed with insights gleaned from the AlphaFly Next Nature, the Pegasus Turbo Next Nature is the brands first performance shoe made with at least 50% recycled material by weight. To ensure a lightweight fit, Nike used recycled Flyknit yarns to make the uppers. The solution-dyed yarn in the Flyknit is manufactured in specific colors, saving 70 liters of water for every kilogram of yarn produced. Each midsole is made with at least 55% recycled ZoomX foam.
