Todd Snyder partnered with Maurizio Donadi of Atelier & Repairs on an exclusive collection of upcycled Champion sweatshirts customized with sashiko embroidery. Donadi sourced the sweats by diverting high quality used pieces bound for landfills to Atelier & Repairs’ L.A. facility. After cleaning the pieces, stains and blemishes were cut out and then patched using traditional Japanese sashiko stitching to reinforce the darned areas. Rather than trying to hid the damage, the contrasting threads and distinctive stitch makes the repairs standout – the damage becomes the design. Each sweatshirt is a one-of-a-kind piece.
