Stone Island Shadow Project FW19-20

For the 23rd Stone Island Shadow Project collection creative director Carlo Rivetti and the design team at ACRONYM double down on the use of innovative materials to produce a cutting-edge capsule of performance-meets-streetwear. Down garments are made with a new version of Dpm Chiné: a pixelated tricolor camouflage fabric designed to maintain body heat. Stone Islands popular ripstop material comes in two new variations: Naslan Ri-Stop and Dual Grid Nylon. The Dual Grid Nylon combines a micro ripstop polyurethane layer with a ripstop nylon layer, creating an extremely durable semi-transparent fabric with minimal weight. An anti-drop formula added to the garment dye procedure provides a long lasting water repellent veil. These innovative fabrics are used to create convertible cardigans with cuffs that unfold into hand gaiters, camel hair jackets trimmed with iridescent nylon canvas, enzyme treated cotton/nylon gabardine chinos and heavy fleece hoodies with zip-off panels – all channeling Stone Islands sleek and futuristic vision.

The new Fall Winter_’019 ‘020 Stone Island 7119 Shadow Project is available now at stoneisland.com.
