Vans’ iconic Old Skool 36 gets a vibrant reinterpretation by Dutch artist Parra. Known for his surreal characters and distinctive use of color, Parra’s connection to Vans began in the early 1990s as a sponsored skater. Now, history comes full circle with their latest collaboration, the OTW by Vans x Parra Old Skool 36.
Parra’s design pairs the classic skate shoe silhouette with his artistic signatures: saturated colors, colorblocking, and undulating lines. Custom typography decorates the tongue labels and the mismatched footbeds, punctuated with the reminder – “Don’t forget to skate in these.” The all-over suede uppers are finished with matte foxing, a vulcanized sole, and a rubber waffle sole for grip.
