Adidas Tennis is mixing things up for the final Grand Slam tournament of the year. The sportswear behemoth’s 2025 US Open kit was designed as part of the Y-3 Fall/Winter 2025 Collection. Following the same creative direction, this 18-piece range includes abstract graphics inspired by Japanese ink wash paintings. Using only black ink and water, suiboku-ga (ink wash painting) artists create complex works focused on light, form and texture. Y-3’s interpretation ’emulates fossilized amber’ by introducing varying shades of orange/yellow to the monochrome technique.

For the men’s collection – modeled by Stefanos Tsitsipas, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Sascha Zverev – suiboku-ga graphics appear on just a few hero pieces. Stefanos Tsitsipas’ kit showcases the technique with suiboku-ga prints on the Y-3 Tennis Pro Shorts and Leggings Set ($100) and matching windbreaker. Felix Auger-Aliassime wears the Y-3 Tennis Pro FreeLift Tee ($95) with a suiboku-ga design alongside a pair of black Y-3 Tennis Pro Ergo Shorts ($75). While Alexander Zverev goes monochrome in the purple Y-3 Tennis Pro FreeLift Zip Tee ($85) and matching Ergo Shorts ($75).
