No longer just a means to reach the summit, hiking boot styles have trod off the beaten path and into on and off-duty wardrobes. So much so that Blackstock & Weber is getting into the mix. The Brooklyn-based label is known reinvigorating the traditional loafer silhouette – penny, bit, tassel, etc. – with innovative materials and styling. B&W’s latest silhouette balances the refinement of their signature loafers with the rugged practicality of classic Alpine-style boots. The City Hiker is made in Portugal from full-grain black leather or brown suede sourced form Tanneries Du Puy, a French tannery focused on luxury leathers. Set on lugged rubber soles, the uppers are finished with metal hooks and D-rings, and extra heavy two-tone laces.
