Watch Porn: Bremont’s New Waterman Apex Highlights Ocean Conservation

A portion of the proceeds from sales of the Waterman Apex will help support Bimini Shark Lab’s pioneering oceanic research.

Bremont’s new Waterman Apex is a high-performance mechanical dive watch inspired by the work of Bimini Shark Lab, a Bahamian non-profit studying the biology of sharks and rays and the role they play in the marine ecosystem. Part of Bremont’s professional grade Supermarine collection, the diver incorporates an automatic helium escape valve and crown protector, as well as boasting a 42-hour power reserve with GMT and date functionality. The 43mm steel case has a uni-directional bezel paired with a matte black dial decorated with a shark fin amongst waves etching, a nod to the partnership with the Shark Lab. Despite having an open case back – also decorated with the wave and shark fin motif – the Waterman Apex is water resistant to 500m. Limited to 250 pieces, the watch is available on a blue rubber strap ($5,095.00) or a stainless steel bracelet ($5,595.00).
