Watch Porn: Bell & Ross Launching BR 03-92 Diver White

Founded by Bruno Belamich and Carlos Rosillo in 1992 as a university project, Bell & Ross quickly won a loyal following with distinctive aviation and military themed watches. But the Swiss brand has also proved adept at designing and building professional tool watches for scuba divers. The new BR 03-92 Diver White is a great example. It has the specs of a certified Swiss diving watch with the vintage aviation touches Bell & Ross is known for. The construction of the square 42-mm stainless steel case involves layering a screw-down crown with sapphire crystal and sealing it to a steel case back with reinforced screws. Topped with a unidirectional rotating steel bezel with 60-minute scale on the black anodized aluminum insert, the case is water-resistant to 300 meters. Inspired by icy seas and polar oceans, the silver opaline dial features Super-LumiNova-filled hands and indices with a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock. Divers can swap the black rubber strap for a second Velcro-fastening nylon strap that comes with the watch.

“Our dials are usually quite dark,” concedes Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and co-founder of Bell & Ross. The exact colour is an opalescent silver in subtle tones, and the dial’s matte surface has been metallised, creating iridescent reflections across the piece.”
