Union Los Angeles Marks 30th Anniversary With Exclusive Capsule

Union Los Angeles opened in 1991 at 110 South La Brea Avenue, the same location it occupies today. To celebrate 30 years in business, Union’s original Frontman Logo is coming out of retirement. To kick off the year long anniversary party, Union decided to reveal the origins of the logo. Designed by friend of the brand Sung Choi, the idea for the Frontman comes from a poster for Lorrain Hansberry’s 1961 film A Raisin in the Sun. Specifically, a scene in the move where the main character Walter, played by Sidney Poitier, is jumping. The UNION 30 Year Anniversary Capsule Pt.1 features hoodies, t-shirts, sweats and a tote decorated with the graphic.
