Kapital’s FW21 collection is a colorful summation of designer Kiro Hirata’s signatures – along with a newfound fondness for decorative pillows. Through lines include covetable denim, souvenir jackets, animal prints, sashiko stitching, boro patchwork, and heaping doses of vintage Americana. Some of the standouts include an oversized teddy jacket, a popover denim top with a wide sherpa collar, and dense Fair Isle knits with moth-eaten holes woven in. Many of the pieces were produced using traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques.
