Stutterheim x Alpha Industries

Stutterheim teams up with iconic American outerwear brand Alpha Industries on a four piece capsule collection. Based styles from the Alpha archives, the parkas are made with fully waterproof Stutterheim Rubberized Cotton and welded seams to ensure protection against the elements.

The Stutterheim x Alpha N-2B parka ($525.00) is a throwback to one of Alpha Industries original designs. The company got its start manufacturing flight jackets for the United States military. The first N-2B parka was introduced in the mid 1950s for U.S. Air Force air and ground crews. Alpha started making the N-2B for the DOD in 1963. In the late 1980s Alpha started making the blouson-style parka for the commercial market – retaining some of the classic military-spec features; front pass-through pockets, split hood that unzips to lay flat, and the zippered utility/pencil pocket with pencil point protectors.

The Stutterheim x Alpha ECWCS parka ($475.00) is made in a slightly lighter version of the original Rubberized Cotton used for all Stutterheim raincoats. Designed to protect troops against the elements during military exercises, the Extreme Cold Weather Conditions System parka is loaded with practical features taken from the original. These include Alpha’s signature utility sleeve pocket and an inside pocket large enough to fit most oversized smartphones, two cargo pockets featuring overlapping storm flaps with snap closures, adjustable Velcro sleeve ends, and reflective details on the shell. Alpha Industries Remove Before Flight flag also retained for the collaboration, accompanied by a second, Stutterheim branded flag.
