Roger Federer is giving his Facebook fans the chance to decide which pair of Nike Vapor 9’s he will wear during his daytime matches at the 2013 Australian Open. The 17-time Grand Slam champion (all time ATP earnings winner, Rolex Brand Ambassador, father of two and best friend of Anna Wintour) worked with the NIKEiD design team to create four customized versions of the Nike Zoom Vapor 9 Tour (ZV9T). The ZV9T was originally released in early 2012 during the hard-court tennis season. The shoe was created by Tinker Hatfield, Nike’s VP of Creative Design, specifically for Roger Federer, who wanted “Tinker to design something that would give [him] the comfort and breathability of a running shoe, but was closer to the ground to benefit tennis players.”
