A.P.C. just released their first collaboration with Clarks Originals. The 5-piece capsule focuses on two of the British shoemaker’s most iconic styles: the Weaver and the Desert Boot. Clarks introduced the Weaver in 1977 with a moccasin-inspired construction, box-stitched upper and crepe sole. Nathan Clark, the great-grandson of the firm’s founder, designed Clarks first desert boot while serving in the British Army during World War II. Inspired by a rough boot from Cairo’s Old Bazaar, it featured clean lines, lace fastening and crepe soles. Its minimal style made it a favorite of beatniks, mods, Britpop starts and Jamaican rude boys.
For this collab, A.P.C. keeps the clean lines, premium materials and signature crepe sole that made the shoes so popular. Both styles come in glossy leather or denim inspired textured suede. The A.P.C. x Clarks Originals Weaver ($210.00) is available in camel or navy suede, or dark brown leather. While the A.P.C. x Clarks Originals Desert Boot ($190.00) is available in camel suede or dark brown leather.
