TAG Heuer is launching a new, streamlined Carrera Chronograph Sport. Its redesigned 42 mm case, thinner ceramic bezel, and enhanced ‘tricompax’ dial are all engineered for clarity at a glance. Downsizing the case from 44 mm to 42 mm improves the ergonomics on the wrist and gives the watch a compact, modern aesthetic. The profile has also been significantly refined. Thickness is reduced from 15.48 mm to 14.17 mm, allowing the watch to sit on the wrist with greater control. The bezel has also been entirely redesigned. Thinner in its appearance, it combines a visible steel cradle with a ceramic insert. The steel cradle gives the bezel a firm frame, while the ceramic inlay adds depth. TAG Heuer’s in-house Calibre TH20-00 movement powers the chronograph. Visible through the open caseback, this movement delivers an impressive 80-hour power reserve.
The redesigned TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Sport lineup launches with five new watches. First up is the Carrera’s signature blue dial, available on both a steel bracelet and perforated leather strap ($6,650.00). It features a sunray finish, silver counters, and grey markers, blue lacquer on the pushers, and a blue ceramic bezel. The teal green option sports a matching bezel along with grey accents, silver counters, and green lacquer on the pushers. The silver version features the iconic panda configuration, with black counters set against a silver dial, black lacquer on the pushers, grey accents, and a black ceramic bezel – all inspired by classic racing chronographs. While the black dial reference feels like a true driver’s watch. With red accents punctuating the black opalin dial and matching chronograph counters.
