Team Ikuzawa was founded in 1981 by Tetsu Ikuzawa, a pioneering figure in Japanese motorsport. He won the Japanese Grand Prix in ’64 and ’67. Ikuzawa was the first Japanese driver to regularly compete in major European championships. These include the British Formula Three Championship and European Formula Two Championship. He was also one of the first Japanese drivers to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, making his first start in 1973. Today, his daughter Mai Ikuzawa carries the legacy forward as Team Principal and Creative Director of Team Ikuzawa. Under her direction the team is one of Japan’s most distinctive motorsport brands. With a cultural presence that extends beyond the track.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa takes inspiration from the Heuer Roadmaster stopwatch. Introduced in the 1970s as an alternative to expensive dashboard timers, the Roadmaster is renowned for its functionality and bold graphics. The Heuer ref. 804.901 (roadmaster) features a pinlever movement, tachymeter scale and a rotating bezel. All inside a robust, colorful plastic case designed to appeal to younger drivers. The Roadmaster reflects TAG’s long- standing role in race timekeeping and automotive performance.

For their second collaboration the brands once again worked with Bamford Watch Department to refine the watch design. The new Carrera Chronograph is a limited edition of 150 numbered pieces. Its white Clou de Paris dial is framed by a black flange with a 60-second scale. Red accents animate the minute counter at 3 o’clock and the lacquered central hand. Rhodium-plated hands are filled with white Super-LumiNova, while the angled date sits at 6 o’clock. Water-resistant to 100 meters, the watch is powered by the in-house Calibre TH20-10, visible through the sapphire case back. Inspired by vintage pit lane toolboxes, the presentation case houses the watch, two additional straps, a travel pouch and Team Ikuzawa charms.
