Gumball 3000 is a traveling motor rally cum lifestyle brand founded in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper. In 2026, Gumball 3000 returns to North America with the Road to the World Cup – a seven day rally from Miami to Mexico City. The 3,000 mile course brings together 100 cars for a rolling festival of music, car culture, and live events – supported by tourism boards, host cities, and global partners. As an official partner, Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin produced a special edition Freak X model to celebrate the 2026 Gumball 3000.

The Freak X Gumball 3000 – Edition 2 features a black and orange palette inspired by the energy and visual intensity of the festival. At the center of the design is an hour disc made from Carbonium, an advanced composite material produced with carbon fibers upcycled from aerospace industry. Ulysse Nardin mixes the carbon fibers with a vivid orange epoxy resin. No two Carbonium discs are alike. With no hands and no dial, the movement itself is the display. The rotating orange Carbonium disc completes one rotation every 12 hours to indicate the hours. While a flying carousel – held without an upper bridge – rotates once per hour to indicate the minutes. The minute wheel uses an orange Super-LumiNova ring for illumination, while the indexes and bridges use white emission Super-LumiNova.
