Maharishi and Fracap are reuniting to release a new interpretation of the Italian bootmaker’s M127 silhouette. Handmade in Italy, the Bonsai Mountaineer hiking boot is crafted from Italian suede, paired with a vegetable-dyed leather ankle cuff and calf-leather lining. The suede is laser-etched with Maharishi’s signature camouflage pattern, DPM: Bonsai Forest. This house pattern incorporates symbols of peace and nature such as bonsai trees growing from clouds, and dragons representing man’s spiritual journey. Bonsai Forest is a key part of Maharishi’s camouflage messaging. Reclaiming disruptive camo patterns (DPM) from their military associations and focusing on the pattern’s natural roots. The boot is completed with a Vibram commando sole, gunmetal eyelets, and two sets of laces – black and brown.
