No wardrobe is complete without a few classic shirts. And the Oxford is the classic shirt. Gitman Vintage happens to makes some of the best. Their Cambridge Oxford starts with 18 stitches per inch for durability, heavy-duty chalk buttons and a lined placket for structure. Cut from 5oz cotton, the shirts also feature a robust 4.5″ cuff gauntlet with pleated sleeves for added wearability. This mid-weight cotton is the same Oxford fabric Gitman used for their first stock shirt made in 1978.

Gitman recently teamed up with AGES NY to offer a fresh take on their Cambridge Oxford. Ages’ spin on the shirt includes raw-cut edges, cross-stitch accents, double-needle seams and internal taping. Each GV x AGES Deco Oxford is made from two Cambridge Oxford shirts, one white and one blue/white stripe. Taylor Spong, the designer behind AGES, stitched the shirts together by hand in his Brooklyn studio. Pockets don’t always align perfectly, seams fray at different points and panels meet each other with slight variance. Every Deco Oxford is a one-off.
