Capsule NYC 2012: Sangue

Italian artist Angelo has been producing his line Sangue for three months and he has created quiet a buzz in that short period of time. With the patterns, textures and colors of Grottaglie, Italy as his inspiration Angelo uses antiquated printing equipment to silkscreen all the pieces in the collection. The patterns and prints are taken (literally) from the buildings, walls, floors and vistas around him. To see his creative process in action watch the video below.

  1. African? Seriously dude? Google Italian tile work and take a look. What stores carry this line?

  2. vanpreto how can you be so ignorant and dumb? those are tile designs, they are taken from pavements and walls. there is nothing about africa there

  3. Impressive. Wish the haters understood that there is nothing new in the world. We are all influenced by the world around us, just like the designer featured here.

  4. this is just a rip off of african tribal prints. nice but not new.

  5. Where can you buy his stuff? I like the tee shirts and bathing suits
