adidas’ New US Open Collection Is Focused On Inclusion & Performance

This summer’s US Open will be a milestone event for wheelchair tennis. The 2022 US Open Wheelchair Championships will boast the largest draw in Grand Slam history and the first junior competition of the four majors. To mark the occasion adidas worked with South African designer Thebe Magugu to create US Open looks focused on performance, sustainability and inclusion. The adidas + Thebe Magugu Tennis collection features unisex and adaptive styles, inclusive sizing, sustainable natural fibers and recycled materials. All the men’s styles, set to be worn by Felix Auger Aliassime, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem, are made with natural and renewable materials. Thebe’s South African heritage inspired the collections colors – black, yellow, orange and lilac – and vibrant graphics and patterns.
