maharishi celebrates the one year anniversary of its Tribeca flagship store with the NYC MILTYPE Capsule. Playing off founder Hardy Blechman’s SS20 themes of 90’s science fiction, the capsules graphics draw from Luc Besson’s Metabolist-inspired futuristic Manhattan in The Fifth Element. Hoodies and t-shirts sport a graphic version of the taxi cab driven by Bruce Willis as Korben Dallas and a camp collar shirt has Besson’s vision of New York City in 2263 printed across the back and sides. “Everything you create, you use to destroy,” the films most pivotal quote spoken by Milla Jovovich’s character Leeloo, is also featured on t-shirts and knits.
