Watch Porn: Tag Heuer Monaco Calibre 11

TAG Heuer designed 5 limited editions versions of the Monaco to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its popular series of chronographs, named in honor of the Grand Prix de Monaco. Each design recalls the trends, colors and styles of the watches first five decades. Introduced in 1969 as the Heuer Monaco, the original Jack Heuer designed model was the first automatic micro-winding chronograph. The Monaco was also the first square-cased and water resistant chronograph.

The 1969-1979 Special Edition TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 ($6,550) celebrates the birth decade of the Monaco. Limited to 169 pieces, the case-back of this 70s-inspired timepiece is engraved with the original “Monaco Heuer” logo as well as “1969-1979 Special Edition” and “One of 169”. The textured green Côtes de Genève dial with brown & amber touches and two black gold-plated sunray sub-dials at 3 and 9 sits atop a 39 mm polished steel case attached to a brown leather strap. Inside, the renowned Calibre 11 movement used in the original Heuer Monaco produces approximately 40 hours of reserve power.
