HAVEN / Schott NYC Perfecto Jacket

How do you improve on Perfecto? Canadian retailer HAVEN seems to have found the right formula to update Schott NYC’s Perfecto jacket. The leather motorcycle jacket debuted in 1928, named after Irving Schott’s favorite cigar and characterized by its asymmetrical placket and rugged, functional appearance. The jacket became a cultural icon synonymous with the rebel spirit, worn by the likes of Marlon Brando, James Dean, The New York Dolls and The Sex Pistols. The HAVEN / Schott NYC Perfecto builds on this rich history with modern updates and a slim fit. HAVEN’s design keeps the D-Pocket from the original 1928 Perfecto Jacket with an added press stud flap pocket. The new jacket is fully lined with a Japanese cotton shadow plaid and woven HAVEN and Schott NYC Perfecto labels at the collar. Finishing the jacket is a re-positioned zip pocket with chain pull, belted waist and diamond quilted rear hem panel with woven HAVEN label. The HAVEN / Schott NYC Perfecto ($1,128) is manufactured by hand in Union, New Jersey and available now from havenshop.com.
