London-based Drake’s and Tokyo-based Beams have been teaming up since the 1980s. Founded in 1976 in Harajuku, Beams quickly grew from a small shop into a fully fledged lifestyle brand and retail empire. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Beams, Drake’s is releasing a 19-piece capsule collection under the ‘BEAMS F’ banner. Beams F started in 1978, offering modern interpretations of classic European and American menswear. The F stands for future.
Highlights of the Drake’s × BEAMS F capsule include denim chore jackets and trousers cut from top-grade Japanese selvage denim. A tweed jacket that takes its cues from Drake’s Games range of tailoring, but works it through Japan’s premier tailoring factory, Ring Jacket. And knits inspired by fisherman and Fair Isle sweaters – cold weather classics perfect for layering.
