J.Press has been a leading purveyor of Ivy style since 1902. Founded on Yale’s New Haven campus, J. Press quickly became the outfitter of choice for Yalies – and later for the upper echelons of American society. Widely credited with creating the ‘Take Ivy’ look, the retailer is synonymous with classic American style: navy blazers, sack suits, rep ties, Oxford button-downs, and Shaggy Dog sweaters. The brands longevity and renewed appeal is down to its relentless authenticity. This authenticity is what inspired Mordechai Rubinstein’s new collaboration with J.Press.
The limited edition Mister Mort x J.Press capsule is not a ‘fresh take on the classics.’ It’s just classic. The street style photographer/author/menswear pundit worked closely with the retailer to deliver a greatest hits of summer style. The lineup includes Made-in-U.S.A OCBDs, baseball caps, patchwork madras, and neckties crafted in New York from deadstock silk. There’s also a soft pink seersucker suit in JPs 1902 cut.
