Breitling created the Navitimer watch in 1952 for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. The design combined a chronograph with Breitling’s patented circular slide rule, allowing pilots to perform flight calculations directly from their wrist. Rooted in aviation, the Navitimer collection has links to some of the most legendary planes ever built. Its latest addition celebrates the aircraft that redefined commercial aviation: the Concorde. With a maximum cruising altitude of 60,000 ft and an average cruise speed of Mach 2, Concorde cut trans-Atlantic flight times in half. It traveled at twice the speed of sound and lifted passenger high enough into the atmosphere that they could glimpse the curve of the Earth.

The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Tribute to Concorde features a deep-blue dial inspired by the stratosphere as seen from the plane. Contrasting white subdials and an inner slide rule reference Concorde’s nickname, the White Bird (L’Oiseau Blanc). The stainless steel ring around the sapphire caseback is engraved with One of 593, Tribute to Concorde, Jetliner, and Mach 2 – the aircraft’s cruising speed beyond the sound barrier. Breitling limited this edition to 593 pieces, a reference to the Olympus 593 turbojet engines that powered the supersonic aircraft.
