Watch Porn: Omega Launches New Moonwatch in Black & White

Having been a part of all six moon landings, the Speedmaster Moonwatch is one of the world’s most iconic timepieces. The latest models reinterpret its classic chronograph look with an inverted dial configuration.

Omega just launched two new Speedmaster Moonwatch models, reinterpreting the classic look of the 4th generation Speedmaster worn on the moon. Available in stainless steel ($10,000.00) or 18K ‘Moonshine’ gold ($49,300.00), both models feature the Moonwatch’s signature step dial, which is put together with a double plate. The top plate is black, varnished and lacquered for luster, and includes rhodium-plated subdial frames. While the base layer for the subdials is produced in white, also with a varnished and lacquered finish.

In combination with the black and white dial, the new watches include black ceramic bezel rings with tachymeter scales in white enamel – with the famous dot over 90. The watch is powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, which drives the small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder, along with the central chronograph function.
