Tudor’s Black Bay line draws inspiration from the 1954 Oyster Prince Submariner reference 7922 – the brands first dive watch. Adopted by the French and US Navies, ref. 7922 was also widely used by diving professionals. The new Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue mixes the 7922’s mid-century style with modern touches and a cutting-edge movement. It has a subtle sand-textured ocean blue dial illuminated with Super-LumiNova filled hands and markers. The pared back 37-mm stainless steel case is topped by a 60-minute bezel in stainless steel with a mirror-polished steel insert devoid of minute graduations. It’s powered by the in-house Calibre MT5400 automatic movement with a hefty 70-hour power reserve.
