Longines is expanding the aviation-inspired Spirit collection with a new model designed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its first Zulu watch. The Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925 is crafted from stainless steel with a 39-mm case capped with an 18K rose gold bezel. Its name comes from the first Longines dual time zone wristwatch manufactured in 1925, which featured the Zulu flag on its dial – a reference to the letter ‘Z’ that designates Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) for aviators. The matte black dial features rose gold colored hands and markers alongside five gold tone stars positioned above the date window at 6 o’clock. While the transparent case back reveals a rose gold colored PVD rotor engraved with a world map bisected by a prime meridian line. A true GMT watch, this model is powered by Longines’ exclusive Calibre L844.4, a self-winding mechanical movement with a silicon balance spring and innovative components that make it highly resistant to magnetic fields. Delivered in a special edition presentation box, the watch comes with both a stainless steel bracelet and a black NATO strap.
