Watch Porn: Breitling Drops New Super AVI GMT Chrono ‘Night Flight’

Breitling’s 46 mm Super AVI lineup gets a bold new addition with the introduction of the black ceramic Mosquito Night Fighter. This Super AVI takes its design cues from the de Havilland Mosquito NF MK II, an all-black twin-engine light bomber introduced during WWII. In an era when aluminum and steel were in short supply, the engineers behind the de Havilland Mosquito made use of a non-strategic material: wood. Constructed from spruce and plywood attached to a steel-tube frame, the ‘Wooden Wonder’ caused a sensation by outperforming its metal contemporaries to become one of the fastest planes built between 1940 and 1950.

The Super AVI B04 Chronograph GMT 46 Mosquito Night Flight features large Arabic numerals on the dial and bezel. The black ceramic case contrasts with the titanium pushers, crown, and buckle, and the open titanium case-back with the DH Night Fighter’s outline printed on the sapphire crystal. Knurling on the bezel provides optimal grip, while the military-style leather strap nods to classic flight gear. Pilots and travelers can track a second time zone using the white-tipped GMT hand and 24-hour scale on the inner bezel. The watch is powered by Breitling’s Caliber B04 movement, which provides approximately 70-hours of power reserve.
