Novak Djokovic’s Limited Lacoste ’22’ Jacket Already Sold Out

After Novak Djokovic won a record 10th Australian Open title and record-tying 22nd major on Sunday with a straight-sets victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas, he made it clear to all watching what it took to reach his goal. The moment Tsitsipas’ forehand sailed long over the baseline for match point, the Serbian superstar turned to his player’s box and pointed to his head, his heart and his crotch. That wasn’t his only ballsy move. For the post-match trophy presentation Djokovic put on a white zip-up Lacoste jacket already emblazoned with ‘22’ on the right breast, a nod to his new record. Balls indeed. Djokovic denied knowing about the jacket decoration before the match. “To be honest, maybe people won’t believe me, but I had no clue about this jacket,” he told Eurosport. “I actually took the other jacket to the ceremony and then my team told me to put this one on – nice of them.” Despite Djokovic jokingly telling Australia’s Channel 9 “there’s only one… no more have been made,” Lacoste actually created a limited edition of 22 jackets to mark the occasion.
