Watch Porn: Todd Snyder’s New MK-1 Sky King Is His Take On A Chronograph

The latest installment in Todd Snyder’s long-running collaboration with Timex draws inspiration from the utilitarian, standard-issue field watches worn by American servicemen. Based on an archival style from the late 1960s, the Timex + Todd Snyder MK-1 Sky King is the menswear designer’s first take on a chronograph. The watch operates on a quartz movement with three sub-dials and is available in two colorways: black and blaze orange. One sub-dial tracks hours, another minutes, the third seconds. All three can be started, stopped and returned to zero by manipulating the stem. Encased in 42-mm steel case with a domed acrylic crystal, the watch also features luminescent hands and a date window at 3 o’clock. The olive canvas strap is made of recycled clothes, finished with a genuine leather lining.
