Engineered Garments + Paraboot Drop New Version Of The ‘Michael’ Derby

Engineered Garments designer Daiki Suzuki teamed up with Paraboot to create an exclusive version of the Michael. The family-owned shoemaker began making this derby style in 1945 and it has proven to be a timeless classic. For the collaboration Daiki leans into Paraboot’s Alpine and workwear roots. The Engineered Garments x Paraboot Michael features smooth leather vamps and heel caps with hairy suede quarters. Inspired by vintage Galibier mountain boots, Daiki replaced two of the three eyelets with D-rings and added thick retro laces. Set on chunky rubber soles, the shoe’s piped seams and Norwegian welt are handsewn with zig-zag stitching. Each pair is handcrafted at Paraboot’s factory in Saint-Jean-de-Moirans, at the foot of the French Alps. Available in Whiskey, Smokey and Black.
