Watch Porn: Girard-Perregaux’s New Unisex Laureato Copper

Girard-Perregaux’s new Laureato 38 MM Copper is a mid-sized, unisex watch inspired by the original 1975 Laureato designed by architect Adolfo Natalini. Crafted in stainless steel, the 38-mm case features an octagonal bezel framing a distinctive ‘copper’ dial with a date window at 3 o’clock, Super-LumiNova filled hands and indices, and a ‘copper’ seconds hand. The dial’s multidimensional Clous de Paris pattern transitions from pink gold to tawny depending on the light, giving it a metallic sheen. Inside, GP’s in-house calibre GP03300 produces a 46-hour reserve and drives the hour, minute, seconds and date functions. The exhibition case-back frames the movement’s gold oscillating weight, embellished with circular Côtes de Genève.
