Watch Porn: Bell & Ross’ New BR05 Sports A Pearly White Dial

Bell & Ross is adding a white dial variation to the BR 05 GMT lineup. While white dials are popular among watch buyers and collectors alike, the color is rarely used by Bell & Ross. The new BR 05 GMT White fills this gap. “After testing quite a few different shades, we chose the most precious white,” explains Bruno Belamich, Artistic Director of Bell & Ross. “The choice fell on a metallic white, galvanized with a particular texture. This type of white is more valuable than painted whites. The tint has silver reflections, very slightly pearly. Its matte finish is both subtle and sophisticated.” To ensure legibility, the white photo-luminescent hands, numerals and indexes are skeletonized. The red-tipped GMT hand completes one revolution of the dial every 24 hours. It displays the time via a 24-hour scale painted on the flange ring in two different tones – one for day and the other for night. The opaline dial blends nicely with the 41-mm steel case and integrated steel bracelet, both with alternating satin-brushed and polished finishes. Characteristic of BR 05 watches, the sapphire crystal exhibition case back offers a 360° view of the self-winding BR-CAL 325 calibre. A second style with a sporty rubber strap ($5,000.00) is also available.
