To celebrate the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary, Carolina Bucci created a unisex 34 mm watch with a multicolored version of Audemars Piguet’s ‘Petite Tapisserie’ dial. At first glance, the dial of the Royal Oak Carolina Bucci L.E. appears black, matching the black ceramic case and bracelet. But when the light shifts, the dial shimmers. Bucci etched the Tapisserie pattern in relief to create a colorful mirror effect. The pattern of iridescent colors varies from dial to dial, making each watch unique. All the components of the case and bracelet are satin-finished and paired with polished chamfers for a maximum play on light. The bracelet has been tweaked to make the pins connecting the links to the studs invisible from the side, for a streamlined look. The titanium and sapphire case-back – engraved with the inscription Limited Edition Carolina Bucci – reveals the Calibre 5800 movement. As a finishing touch, Bucci replaced the usual AP monogram with a long-form signature filled with white lacquer.
