Watch Porn: Oris Celebrates 118 Years With New Hölstein Edition

Today is Oris’s 118th birthday. To celebrate, Oris brought back the Full Steel, a sports watch first introduced in 1998 with the Calibre 690 automatic movement. Known as the Worldtimer, Calibre 690 was a first for Swiss watchmaking. It could adjust local time in one-hour jumps using plus and minus buttons on the case flanks, with home time shown on a counter at 3 o’clock. This years Hölstein Edition is a faithful recreation of this Oris icon. Limited to 250 pieces, it has a retro-style 36.5-mm stainless steel case with a matching stainless steel three-link bracelet. The dark blue dial has red plus and minus symbols for the forward or backward hour setting device flanking a date window at 6 o’clock. A small seconds counter sits at 9 o’clock, while Super-LumiNova filled hour and minute hands with a day/night indicator tracks home time at 3 o’clock. And it’s all powered by the Oris Calibre 690.
