Abstract Florals Decorate Adidas’ Latest French Open Collection

Ninety four years after it was built, the transformation of Stade Roland Garros into a green oasis is nearly complete. Along with plant walls and a vast green esplanade, the centerpiece of the renovated tennis complex is Court Simonne-Mathieu. Named in honor of a WWII resistance fighter and French Open champion, the semi-sunken court is surrounded on all sides by greenhouses stocked with plants from every corner the world. adidas’ 2022 Paris HEAT.RDY collection features abstract botanical prints inspired by the flora in these greenhouses. Putting sustainability first, many of the shorts, polo shirts and tees are made with Parley Ocean Plastic or recycled materials. All of the pieces in the collection are made with cooling HEAT.RDY fabric and designed to perform in the heat of the clay court season.
