John Smedley’s one-off collaboration with Lou Dalton worked out well for the luxury knitwear label. In 2016 Smedley set up a program to work with five up-and-coming British designers – including Lou Dalton – to manufacture their collections in the UK, combining their contemporary aesthetic with the 238 year old brands impeccable craftsmanship. Of the five rising stars, Dalton’s designs shone the brightest and the two firms maintain an ongoing collaboration. The fifth Anniversary of Lou Dalton + John Smedley capsule celebrates the partnership with a retrospective collection of bestselling styles. Highlights include a multicolored striped sweater, color blocked long sleeve polo and fine-gauge polos – all made with Smedley’s Sea Island Cotton.
