Marni gave Veja’s popular V-10 low-top and recently introduced V-15 high-top sneakers a DIY inspired makeover. The leather uppers were artfully distressed with a colorful scribbled marker motif, with the right foot decorated in a different pattern form the left. As a finishing touch, MARNI is printed across the heel in a black marker style font. Veja sourced the ChromeFree leather used to produced the sneakers from Uruguayan farmers whose cows feed only on native vegetation. While the soles are composed of rice waste, recycled rubber and natural rubber responsibly harvested by indigenous communities in the Amazon rain forest.
