Watch Porn: Oris + Cervo Volante Introduce Big Crown Pointer Trio

Oris is launching an open-ended collaboration with with the Swiss sustainable deer leather manufacturer Cervo Volante by releasing three new Big Crown Pointer Date watches.

Every year approximately 15,000 wild red deer are culled in Switzerland. The operation is highly regulated, entirely legal and necessary to sustain the deer population and local ecosystem. For years the natural byproducts of this process were discarded. In 2017, Kadri Vunder Fontana, a biotechnology engineer and businesswoman, and Conny Thiel-Egenter, a biologist specializing in wildlife and habitat management, took it upon themselves to do something about this. The duo founded Cervo Volante with the aim of transforming the byproducts of the cull – specifically deer skins – into sustainable, high quality footwear and accessories.

The new Oris + Cervo Volante Big Crown Pointer Date watches have gradient dials inspired by Alpine hues and straps made of sustainable deer leather. They come with a pouch and a card holder made with sustainable deer leather. Crafted in Switzerland, the 38-mm multi piece stainless steel case holds a green, blue or grey dial with Super-LumiNova coated indices, numbers and hands. They’re powered by an in-house automatic winding pointer date movement with a 38 hour power reserve. This collaboration is not a limited series. Oris plans to integrate Cervo Volante’s sustainable leather into its Change for the Better initiative.
