The Longines Avigation BigEye is now available in titanium with a petrol blue dial. A re-issue of an early aviation chronograph from the 1930s, the BigEye is known for its oversize 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. The new grained and shaded petrol blue dial sets off the ‘BigEye’ subdial, along with the seconds subdial at 9 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. Inside the 41-mm titanium case, a column-wheel chronograph movement (L688) with a silicon balance-spring delivers accuracy and enhanced resistance to magnetic fields. The art deco style engraving on the screw-down case-back and vintage finish natural brown leather strap are nods to the watches retro inspiration.
