Sunspel teamed up with artist David Shrigley on a capsule collection of modern Christmas sweaters with a message. Known for his caustic illustrations of the bizarre and often mundane elements of everyday life, Shrigley created a set of exclusive illustrations focused on environmental responsibility and sustainability. Combining animal motifs with slightly sarcastic messages like “Protect The Cold Places, And The Other Places” and “Yes To Icebergs, No To Zoos,” the drawings are printed on t-shirts and sweatshirts, and applied to English spun lambswool sweaters using a contemporary jacquard knit. All of the lambswool used in the collection carries the Woolmark certification, meaning producers follow specific animal welfare and sustainable land use practices. Sunspel will donate 10% of the profits from each garment sold to Stump Up For Trees – a community-based charity focused on enhancing biodiversity through woodland creation and preservation.
