Clarks Desert Boot 221 Is A Gleaming White Version Of The Iconic Original

Clarks continues to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Desert Boot with special editions of the iconic style. The latest is the Desert Boot 221. This new chukka brings to life the story of the 200-year-old family business with exclusive branding stamped on the tongue; C:J – 1825 BA16 0EQ. CJ refers to the brothers, Cyrus and James Clark who founded the company in 1825 in Street, Somerset, England. The postal code BA16 0EQ, signifies Clarks home, which has been in the same location for 195 years.

Crafted from chrome-free, water and stain repellent white suede, the 221’s upper is extra bright and designed to stay that way. The chrome-free processing gives the hide a snow white finish. Inside, the 221 features a leather lined, OrthoLite footbed made from 20% recycled foam and rubber waste. The proportions of the boot were adjusted to accommodate the thicker crepe sole and OrthoLite footbed.

The Desert Boot 221 ($210.00) is available now at clarksusa.com.
