Gitman Vintage Spring/Summer 2020

Gitman Vintage built its reputation with sharp tailoring, quality fabrics and some of the best oxford cloth button-downs available – all inspired by the companies archives and fabrics from old line books. Along with the sensible oxfords, each season includes shirts in distinctive patterns and colors. Gitman Vintage Spring/Summer 2020 has plenty of both.

The collection offers two mid-century modern prints as a homage to Italian architect Gio Ponit, an allover print based on the brands 1970s Gitman Bros. logo and a Picasso themed cartoon print based on the work of artist Guido Crepax. A selection of solid, striped and plaid “Fluorescents” and a pale blue camp shirt with a print inspired by surfers at Rockaway Beach will put you in the mood for summer. But its with a series of traditional African and Indian block prints that the collection really hits its stride.
