Critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and record producer Toro y Moi, a.k.a. Chaz Bear, knows a thing or two about art. The multitasking performer graduated from The University of South Carolina with a BFA in Graphic Design. Even with an active music career, Bear maintains a consistent painting and design practice. When he’s not touring, he can be found collaborating with Bay Area artists at his warehouse-cum-design studio Company in North Oakland. Started in 2016 with creative partner Brendan Nakahara, Company Studio also serves as the home base of his record label Company Records.
Chaz channeled his artistic impulses into his debut design collaboration with Vans.
