Lou Dalton X Gloverall AW19 Utility Jacket

Lou Dalton built her new Gloverall collaboration around two seemingly disparate influences: tailoring and workwear. Informed by her background in bespoke tailoring, the Shropshire native’s penchant for stylish utilitarianism produced two designs – a patch pocket work jacket and raglan sleeve overcoat – inspired by key elements of Gloverall’s traditional duffle coat.

The Lou Dalton X Gloverall Utility Jacket comes in blue, black and white double-faced checked wool ($774.00) and thick navy Melton wool ($692.00). Both jackets have concealed button plackets, detachable hoods – a signature of the collection – and a single toggle fastening at the collar and cuffs added as a design detail. For the colder months, the relaxed fit allows for easy layering underneath.

The Lou Dalton X Gloverall Hooded Overcoat ($897.00) elevates the traditional the duffle coat with cashmere wool fabric and a slouchy modern fit ideal for winter layering. Fully lined in cotton, the coat has deep welt pockets and a detachable hood which can be buttoned up for extra warmth. Buffalo horn style toggle fastenings added to the collar and cuffs are a throwback to Gloverall’s orignial coats.
