Nike SB Zoom Janoski “Violent Femmes” Edition

After disbanding in 2009, Milwaukee folk punk band Violent Femmes officially reunited – to the delight of their fans – on day 2 of the 2013 Coachella Festival with a performance at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. First among those fans is skateboarder Stefan Janoski, who’s releasing a special-edition his Nike SB shoe dedicated to one of his favorite bands. The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Violent Femmes RM adds a plush new sockliner and flexible midsole for better board-feel. Rubber has been thinned out in key areas for a lightweight, broken-in feel right out of the box. And for the fans, the lightweight canvas upper has “Violent” and “Femmes” chain-stitched on the lateral side of each shoe and the words from the group’s hit 1994 song “I’m Nothing” — which Janoski sings with the band on a version that releases with their newest album — printed in Janoski’s handwriting on the tongue.
