Comme des Garçons Homme Deux x Fred Perry

Comme des Garçons adapts Fred Perry’s M12 polo shirt for their Homme Deux line. Launched in ’87 by Rei Kawakubo as a diffusion line, Comme des Garçons Homme Deux infuses Western style tailored menswear with traditional Japanese techniques and idiosyncratic details. The line focuses on uniform-inspired looks with innovative cuts, understated styling and high quality production. The instantly recognizable twin tipped M12 polo has become a kind of subculture uniform. Made in Leicester, England, the M12 silhouette hasn’t changed since it was originally designed by Fred Perry in the ’50s. For this collaboration CDG gave the M12 a slightly more generous fit than the original and embroidered with a double Laurel Wreath on the chest.
