Watch Porn: Tudor Black Bay Chrono S&G

Tudor expands the Black Bay line with three new Steel & Gold (S&G) chronographs. Remaining faithful to the Black Bay aesthetic, the S&G models feature a dial inspired by the first generation of Tudor divers, down to the angular “snowflake” hands and the large winding crown. The famous “snowflake” hands are rendered in gold for optimum readability against the domed matte-black dial. Its counters are hollowed with a champagne color that creates optimum contrast. Mirroring the 1950s chronos, the slim 41 mm steel case has yellow-gold pushers and a matching fixed bezel with a black anodised aluminium insert and tachymetric scale.

The Black Bay Chrono S&G is available with three strap options: a brown leather bund bracelet, a black jacquard fabric strap, and a steel and yellow gold oyster bracelet. Since the introduction of their first chronograph in 1970, the Oysterdate, Tudor has produced watches closely associated with the world of motorsports. The aged brown leather, ecru stitching and folding clasp of the bund bracelet option ($5,600.00) captures the spirit of 1970s auto racing. The black fabric strap also references the brands heritage. Tudor was one of the first high-quality watch brands to offer fabric straps – they are now a Tudor signature. Following tradition, the Black Bay Chrono S&G Fabric Strap ($5,600.00) is woven on 19th-century Jacquard looms by a 150-year-old family firm. The third option is a steel and yellow gold bracelet ($6,800.00) inspired by the folding riveted bracelets of Tudor watches produced in the 1950s and 60s.

The Tudor Black Bay Chrono S&G collection is available now from tudorwatch.com.
